Can you share your thoughts with us on your upcoming role?

I’m truly honored and humbled to be the incoming chair for the ARDMS. It’s a great privilege and responsibility to serve our registrants and community, and I’m looking forward to working with you and the rest of the team.

What are you most looking forward to as Chair?

One of the things I’m most excited about is strengthening our volunteer network. I believe that volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and they bring so much value, expertise, and diversity to our programs and initiatives. I want to make sure that we support, recognize, and empower our volunteers, and that we create more opportunities for them to get involved and make a difference.

What is your biggest call-to-action for ARDMS Registrants?

Another thing that I see as my biggest call-to-action is to work alongside our leadership to future-proof our assessments for the future and world of emerging technology. I know that the field of ultrasound is constantly evolving and advancing, and we need to ensure that our assessments reflect the most current and relevant standards and competencies. I also want to explore how we can leverage technology to enhance our assessment delivery, and accessibility, and to provide more value and convenience to our registrants and candidates.

CME Audit

If your CME period ended 12-31-2023 here’s what to expect in the next few months:

The selection process will begin in mid-March.
Go ahead and upload any CME’s from your CME period into your CME Bank.
Expect a notification on whether you were selected or not selected.
ARDMS will begin review of CME’s for those selected and will inform the registrants on next steps.
Track your progress on MY ARDMS and follow the CME Reinstatement procedures if you might not meet the requirements.
Those selected for audit will receive written notification from ARDMS of their CME audit results by June 2024 regarding your CME Audit status or if additional steps are necessary.
Refer to the CME page on how to maintain your certification.
