Dr. Yusef Sayeed, an esteemed physician and Acting Executive Director of Telehealth Services for the Veterans Health Administration, oversees national and international telehealth systems. With expertise in interventional pain management and occupational medicine, Dr. Sayeed has made significant contributions to healthcare administration and academia, particularly in musculoskeletal ultrasound, pain medicine, and occupational medicine. His commitment to advancing healthcare is evident through research, telehealth initiatives, and evidence-based medical care, all aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and improving care delivery for veterans.

Dr. Yusef Sayeed is the Acting Executive Director of Telehealth Services for the Veterans Health Administration.  Dr. Sayeed was the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Columbia, SC Veterans Administration Health System.  Previous to this, he served as Director of the Surgical Services at the Texas Valley Coastal Bend Veterans Health Administration Health system.  He is an Interventional Pain Management physician and board certified in Occupational Medicine. As Clinical Assistant Professor at the Uniform Services University for the Health Sciences in the department of PM&R he teaches residents and fellows. He arrived at the VA from the National Intrepid Spirit Center at Eglin Air Force Base where he was the Director of Pain Medicine and Functional Rehabilitation.  This facility was the Air Force’s first facility dedicated to treating the Polytrauma of Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, and Chronic Pain.  Dr. Sayeed graduated from the University of Louisville with both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. He then completed a Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Kentucky where he also went to Medical School. He completed a clinical research fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. He then completed his internship training at the University of Pennsylvania in Physiatry and his Occupational Medicine residency at West Virginia University.  He then went on to complete his Interventional Pain Fellowship at the Deuk Spine Center.
