The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography® (ARDMS®) administers examinations and awards credentials in areas of ultrasound. Through its mission, ARDMS empowers sonographers to provide exceptional patient care through rigorous assessments and continual learning. It is part of the Inteleos™ family of Councils that includes the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography® (ARDMS®), the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement™ (APCA™), the Point-of-Care-Ultrasound Certification Academy (PCA™), and the Inteleos Foundation.

It serves an extensive network of more than 145,000+ sonographers, physicians, and medical professionals worldwide, united in their commitment to establishing and maintaining the highest standards of excellence in healthcare.

We administer examinations and award the following credentials:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer® (RDMS®)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer® (RDCS®)
- Registered Vascular Technologist® (RVT®)
- Registered Musculoskeletal™ Sonographer (RMSKS™)
ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board) Accreditation
The RDMS, RDCS, RVT, and RMSKS credentialing programs, as well as the RPVI and RMSK APCA credentialing programs, are accredited by ANAB to the 17024 Standard for Personnel Certification Bodies set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
